Preclinical Drug Evaluation Center
The Pharmacology Laboratory at Lakshmi Narain College of Pharmacy (LNCP), Indore is a well-equipped facility designed for teaching and research in pharmacology and toxicology. The lab provides hands-on training in preclinical drug evaluation, animal models, and pharmacological screening techniques.
Our CPCSEA-approved animal house facility supports ethical research in experimental pharmacology, toxicology, and drug discovery. The lab follows OECD guidelines for preclinical safety evaluation.
Lab Sections
General Pharmacology Lab
Equipped with organ bath assemblies, instruments for CNS screening (actophotometer, rotarod, elevated plus maze, Morris water maze), analgesic testing (tail flick, hot plate), and anti-inflammatory evaluation (plethysmometer).
Molecular & Biochemical Lab
ELISA reader, semi-auto biochemistry analyzer, PCR workstation, electrophoresis unit, and gel documentation system for molecular pharmacology and biomarker analysis.
Preclinical Instrumentation Lab
Physiographic recording systems, ECG, BP monitoring, plethysmograph, metabolic cages, and telemetry systems for cardiovascular and respiratory pharmacology studies.
Toxicology & Histopathology Lab
Microtome, tissue processing unit, embedding station, and histopathology microscope for toxicity evaluation and tissue analysis.
