Pharmacognosy

The Department of Pharmacognosy at Lakshmi Narain College of Pharmacy (LNCP), Indore provides comprehensive education in medicinal products derived from natural sources including plants, animals, and minerals. The curriculum covers medicinal plants, phytochemistry, herbal drug standardization, isolation of active constituents, and quality evaluation of natural products. Our well-equipped laboratories allow students to explore the rich heritage of Indian medicinal plants, perform extraction and isolation of phytoconstituents, and develop skills in herbal formulation and standardization as per WHO guidelines.
